How to Use
For Face & Neck
- Cleanse your skin and dry thoroughly.
- Apply a small amount to the face and neck using clean hands or a cotton pad.
- Avoid the eye contour and direct contact with the eyes.
- Do not rinse.
- Follow with hydrating skincare.

Ideally use in the evening.
The Ordinary recommends starting 2–3 times per week if you are new to direct acids, then gradually increasing frequency as your skin builds tolerance. The product can be used once daily if well tolerated.
For Scalp
The Ordinary's current directions allow application to a dry scalp three times per week, followed by gentle massage. It is also leave-on and should not be rinsed.
Important Skincare Tips
Because this is a 7% AHA exfoliant, avoid using it in the same routine with other strong direct acids or strong retinoids if this increases irritation. Alternate them instead.
Always apply broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day. AHAs can increase skin sensitivity to sunlight, and The Ordinary recommends sun protection while using the product and for a week afterward.
